So, the gray area here is that Mint repackaged Firefox instead of writing a different script and let the user run that separate script or not. Then there wouldn't have been a copy-left gray area they dipped their toe into. BTW, I use Mint. Love it. And think its the best distro if you are a set it and forget it user like myself. But that doesn't mean that the team makes the best ethical choices 100% of the time.
